The ADL’s website has additional curriculum for all age groups covering topics from bullying and stereotypes to specific Holocaust curriculum options.
The spring 2019 issue of The Jewish Educator was entitled ANTISEMITISM IN OUR TIME: How can we prepare and how do we respond? It has articles about a variety of responses, including how to talk to children and teens about the Holocaust.
Stealth Altruism by Professor Art Shostak is a wonderful book and resource on spiritual resistance by Jews in the Holocaust, highlighting stories of Jews helping Jews, especially when it was forbidden. The book is full of stories you can use to bring this topic to life.
Resilience by Dr. Judy Stone tells the story of her family’s strength and resilience during some the most horrific events of the twentieth century. Join her as she learns how they survived and rebuilt their lives, focusing on hope and the good people they found.
This book not only provides testimony about the horrors of the Holocaust but also offers a connection to the rich heritage of Jewish life in Europe that has been largely lost.
