How to talk to your kids about the Holocaust 

When your children start to learn about the Holocaust, be it in Sunday school or regular school, they will come home to you with questions. Here are some pointers on how to talk to your kids about this traumatic subject without traumatizing them.

Recommended Reading

Youngsters

Ages 5 to 9

Stories that will introduce your children to the ideas of the Holocaust in an age-appropriate manner, through stories of Jewish reslience.

Tweens

Ages 10 to 14

Books that begin to introduce your children to some of the more difficult events of the Holocaust while remaining age-appropriate for your tween.

Teens & Adults

Ages 15 and up

Books to help your teen and you begin to understand the depth and nuance of the stories that come out of the Holocaust.
